The Student Center at Southern Illinois University Carbondale will host the popular annual Mother’s Day Brunch on Sunday, May 8, from 10:30 AM to 1:00 PM in the ballrooms. Everyone is welcome.

The brunch begins with  ambrosia salad with mandarin, pineapple, and coconut, carrot and raisin slaw with sweet honey vinaigrette, spinach and green salad with strawberries and dried fruit. The entrees are apricot glazed roast pork lion, chicken supreme with mushroom cream, buscuits and milk gravy, roast turkey sausage. Side dishes include delmonico potatoes, country green beans with caramelized onion and bacon, steamed vegetable medley. Featured desserts are assorted brownies, cookies, cakes, sweets and fresh fruit. The brunch also includes dinner rolls and butter, orange juice, iced tea and coffee.

Purchased in advance, tickets are $13 for the general public, $12 for SIUC students and senior citizens and $6.75 for children ages 5-10. Tickets are $1 higher at the door. As always, children four and younger eat free.
