Craft Shop (incl. Paint Bar & Frame Shop)
Hours of Operation:
Fall and Spring Semesters: Monday – Friday 10 am – 9 pm, Saturday 10 am – 5 pm.
The Craft Shop closes at 5:00 pm on Fridays before University breaks (Spring Break, Thanksgiving Break) and end of semesters.
Ceramics Studio Hours:
Monday and Friday 10:00 am - 8:45 pm (Unless occupied by a scheduled workshop or group activity.)
Wood Shop Hours:
Monday-Thursday 2:00 pm – 8:00 pm (Unless occupied by a scheduled workshop or group activity.)
Friday 11:00 am – 4:00 pm (Unless occupied by a scheduled workshop or group activity.)
Saturday 10:00 am – 4:00 pm (Unless occupied by a scheduled workshop or group activity.)
The Craft Shop is located in the Student Center on the campus of Southern Illinois University Carbondale. Our address is 1255 Lincoln Drive Carbondale, IL 62901.
Located next to the Big Muddy Room on the lower level, South end of the Student Center, the Craft Shop and the Wood Shop have everything you need to design and create fine pieces of art. The facilities and workshops are open to SIUC students, faculty, staff and members of the community.
The Craft Shop is handicap accessible. For elevator entry, take the mack elevator across from the Roman Room on the first floor to the basement (B) level, a turn left down the hall past the Story of Little Egypt display. If you need help finding us, don’t hesitate to call us at (618) 453-3636.
