It’s all about the bag at the University Bookstore!
Even University Bookstore is getting “on the bandwagon” to promote sustainability on the SIUC campus.
Joining such big name stores as Wal-Mart, Target, and Macy’s, the Bookstore is now offering an eco-friendly bag “Used Saves”. Customers are encouraged to purchase a bag for only $1 to use when shopping, in order to reduce the number of plastic bags dumped in landfills.
In addition to the bag, they are also giving away FREE laundry bags made from recycled plastic bottles.
With the help of the Bookstore and our other business partners, the Student Center continues its commitment to reduce our carbon footprint.
