Winter may be lingering for six more weeks, but that’s no reason to miss the 2008 Easter Buffet held on Sunday, March 23. Regardless of the weather, the sun will be shining on the buffet located in the SIUC Student Center Ballrooms from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. The menu will feature Mandarin Orange and Red Onion Salad, Fruit Floret Salad, and Balsamic Pasta Salad with entrees of Glazed Carved Ham and Carved Baron of Beef. Sides will consist of Candied Sweet Potatoes with Pecan Butter, Parsley Buttered Steamed Red Potatoes, Cardinal Green Beans, Buttered Corn and Vegetable Medley. Desserts will offer something sweet for everyone with a variety of Cheese Cakes, Carrot Cake, Chocolate Cake, and Lemon Cake. Along with an assortment of Dinner rolls, Iced Tea and Coffee will be available.
Children 4 years and under are free, tickets for children 5 years to 10 years are $6.00, with day-of doors sales at $7.00. SIUC Students and Senior Citizens advance tickets are $11.00 with door sales at $12.00. Adult tickets are $12.00 for advance sales and $13.00 at the door.
Advance tickets may be purchased at the Central Ticket Office on the second floor of the Student Center Monday through Friday from 8am until 4pm or by calling 618-453-3478 during office hours.
