Old Main Restaurant hosts Holiday Lunch Dec. 12

CARBONDALE, Ill. — A culinary smorgasbord will be available during the Holiday Lunch Dec. 12 at Old Main Restaurant in the Southern Illinois University Carbondale Student Center.
The classic menu features carved roast beef with sauce and horseradish, chicken supreme, smashed potatoes with garlic and chives, broccoli spears with lemon sauce, vegetable au gratin, cheese balls and crackers, ambrosia salad, yeast rolls and hot cider for $6.75. Desserts, available for $1.75, include pecan pie, coconut cake and cheesecake with cherry topping.
Serving for the lunch is from 11 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. Old Main recommends that those planning to attend call 618/453-5277 for reservations. Diners can pay with cash, major credit cards, the SIUC meal card and Debit Dawg. Alumni Association members receive a 10 percent discount.
During the holiday lunch, Old Main won't be accepting menu orders. The general public is welcome to attend the Holiday Lunch.
