SIUC Student Center to Host Harry Potter Book Release
Catch the Hogwarts Express at Platform 9 ¾ at the SIUC Student Center for the release of “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows”. Events leading up to the 12:01am book release on July 20 will include games, a costume contest, trivia, and a free showing of the movie “Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire”, all beginning at 9pm. Included in the night’s specials will be $1 per game Bowling with $1 shoe rental, half price Billiards, food specials featured at both McDonalds and Starbucks, lightning bolt face painting, fortune telling and craft related activities such as dragon and owl origami classes, make a wizard hat or decorate a magic wand sponsored by the Craft Shop.
All of this and more will lead up to the magic moment when the clock strikes midnight and the first box of books will be opened in the University Bookstore, located on the first floor of the Student Center.
